This is how John walked home from the library last week.
Earbuds in his ears but not plugged into anything (on purpose). He got a lot of weird looks, so he came up with a variety of thoughts people must have been having when they saw him. My favorite one was that "That guy is so used to having his earbuds in that he doesn't even notice that he isn't listening to anything."
