So what have we been up to? Well, the first stop was Lake Michigan.
Our car parked on the side of the road like those above, and we headed to the beach. It's true. Lake Michigan has gorgeous GoRgEoUs GORGEOUS sand. It's what I expect the best beaches in Hawaii are like.
We only stopped for 20 minutes, but we've put it on the must-stop list for any future travels.
The next stop was Helena's great-grandparents. We arrived and Helena was whisked out of our arms! As you can tell from the above pic, Helena likes her namesake - Great Grandma Helen.
She also likes her Great Grandpa Fran.
And if I may say so, I think her great-grandfather took quite a liking to her. At least we've never seen him on the floor before!
It was quite a treat to also see John's aunt, uncle and cousin. Thanks for playing with Helena, J.J.!
